Responsibilities
- Design, write, and code automated test scripts primarily using Playwright (or similar frameworks). Integrate these scripts into the testing lifecycle to achieve 100% automation of end-to-end test cases.
- Provide expert advice on testing strategies, tool selection, and resource identification. Develop comprehensive test plans and scripts for specialized tests, including stress and systems integration testing.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, collaborating with business clients to validate that systems meet functional needs. Assist customer support representatives with data setup for training and implementation.
- Execute functional, non-functional, and systems-level integration tests across web-based, online, batch, and client-server systems.
- Manage user access and profiles, support backup and recovery processes, and oversee day-to-day computer systems operations relevant to the testing environment.
- Utilize DevOps tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps to track defects, manage requirements gathering, and conduct test plan walkthroughs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience writing and coding automation test scripts using Playwright or a similar modern framework.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, and HTML.
- Extensive background in planning and organizing testing efforts for large and small systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments.
- Deep knowledge of structured SDLC methodologies, static testing, and quality assurance principles.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) and CASE tools for data query and test case development.
- Demonstrated experience with web services, client-server systems, and batch processing.
- Familiarity with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards.
