Responsibilities
- Define the overarching testing strategy, select appropriate tools, and develop detailed test plans for large-scale systems.
- Plan and organize testing efforts across both GUI and non-GUI environments, including systems integration (SIT), connectivity, and error handling.
- Execute specialized testing for REST APIs and perform data validation using complex SQL queries to ensure backend integrity.
- Partner with Software Engineers and Business Analysts throughout the SDLC to analyze requirements and support system implementation.
- Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and conduct performance-related tests, such as stress testing.
- Develop and execute test cases against various components to identify bugs and ensure functional requirements are met.
Qualifications
- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience testing Web Applications (specifically .NET).
- 3+ years of experience testing REST APIs using Postman or equivalent industry tooling.
- 3+ years of experience using Microsoft DevOps Test Plans (or TFS) for managing the testing lifecycle.
- 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries for data verification and backend testing.
- Proven experience working within large-scale public environments, ensuring compliance with privacy and accessibility standards (e.g., AODA).
- Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with automated testing tools.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Maximum of 5 (five) pages.
