Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive manual and automated testing processes, including Master Test Plans, test cases, and scripts. Develop scenarios for functional, system, regression, integration, load, and performance testing.
- Execute full-cycle testing across web-based, mobile, and cloud platforms. Manage the defect lifecycle, monitor progress, and maintain detailed records of results and discrepancies.
- Perform deep-layer testing including Unit, UI, Component, API, and AODA (accessibility) testing.
- Implement automated testing frameworks and conduct performance testing to ensure system stability and scalability.
- Lead testing efforts for assigned projects, coordinating with Project Managers, Developers, and System Administrators to ensure timely delivery and alignment with technical requirements.
- Assist business users in conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), providing guidance and documentation to ensure successful validation.
- Analyze business requirements and user stories to assess risks to quality, providing recommendations for mitigation and regular progress updates to management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience performing testing for large-scale applications (web, cloud, and mobile).
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Certification in Software Quality Engineering (e.g., ISTQB) is a strong asset.
- Hands-on expertise with OpenText ALM/Octane, JIRA, X-Ray, and Confluence.
- Skilled in tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, Micro Focus UFT, JMeter, and OpenText Load Runner.
- Strong understanding of SDLC within Waterfall, Agile (Scrum), and Hybrid environments, including DevOps (CI/CD) principles.
- Proven ability to test APIs and ensure AODA compliance.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to facilitate stakeholder alignment.
