We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist to lead quality assurance strategies, test execution, and automated testing frameworks across enterprise-level IT applications. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for enterprise web applications, APIs, and cloud services.
Execute end-to-end functional, system integration, regression, GUI, and non-GUI testing across complex multi-tiered applications.
Design, build, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) and integrate them into CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Conduct performance, load, and stress testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to analyze system bottlenecks, traffic scalability, and response times.
Perform Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance testing to ensure digital interfaces meet web accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA).
Log, track, prioritize, and manage software defects through resolution using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
Validate backend data integrity, execute complex SQL queries, and test data migration workflows across relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve technical defects.
Qualifications
Enterprise QA Seniority: 10+ years of demonstrated experience in software quality assurance and testing within enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems (Strictly Required).
Manual & Automated Testing Mastery: Deep hands-on experience in both manual testing and automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium or Postman for API testing (Strictly Required).
Methodology Expertise: In-depth understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall testing methodologies and frameworks (Strictly Required).
Performance Testing: Practical experience executing performance, stress, and load testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner (Strictly Required).
AODA & Cloud Knowledge: Strong experience conducting AODA accessibility compliance testing alongside working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) (Strictly Required).
Defect & Database Skills: Hands-on proficiency with defect tracking systems (JIRA, Azure DevOps) and database query languages (SQL, Oracle) for backend validation (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior software testing or quality assurance experience within a public sector or broader public sector environment.
Understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) for test data setup or pipeline automation.
