- Develop professional technical project and user documentation, including system and operational procedures.
- Design and maintain visual assets such as infographics, architecture maps, and flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand formats.
- Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards, including AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and brand guidelines.
- Support governance and reporting forums by creating briefing decks and progress updates.
- Maintain version control and traceability of all documentation.
- Manage standardized templates for a variety of documents, including design documents and stakeholder reports.
- Ensure documentation is aligned with key health data interoperability standards such as FHIR, SNOMED CT, and LOINC.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, communications, or knowledge management, preferably in a healthcare or public sector environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with visual storytelling tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, or Figma.
- Strong writing and editing skills across various document types.
- Deep understanding of health data interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, SNOMED CT, LOINC).
- Knowledgeable about FIPPA and PHIPA and their application to healthcare IT solutions.
- Familiarity with version control systems like SharePoint, Git, or Confluence.
- Experience in designing accessible content that is AODA compliant.
