This is a Hybrid role based in Toronto, requiring up to three days onsite per week, and Public Sector Experience is Mandatory.

Responsibilities
The Senior Technology Architect will be responsible for:
- Leading FHIR standards assessment, selection, development, and maintenance processes. Developing and documenting HL7 FHIR artifacts and supporting documentation.
- Conducting Terminology mapping where applicable. Developing end-to-end workflows and procedure manuals related to Enterprise Terminology Services Management. Providing hands-on training for tooling (e.g., Ontoserver).
- Provisioning and delivering high-quality learning materials compatible with the internal Learning Management System (e.g., Articulate Storyline), including a combination of audio/visual resources and fact sheets. Possessing outstanding technical skills in creating captivating educational content.
- Conducting Environmental scans, Data Standards research, and assessments/analysis for harmonization and interoperability. Performing interoperability standards gap analysis and assessing readiness of existing clinical information systems for standards-based data submission.
- Interacting with and managing diverse partners (clinical, business, technical) to gather requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure successful adoption.
- Validating, troubleshooting, and problem solving the HL7 FHIR artifacts. Readily identifying, assessing, and mitigating implementation and adoption issues.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 10+ years experience in digital health standards, inclusive of terminology maintenance and mapping.
- 10+ years experience with HL7 FHIR, clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED-CT, LOINC) and their application.
- 10+ years hands-on experience implementing HL7 FHIR standards and solutions.
- 10+ years experience with Public Sector healthcare within Canada (acute, primary, and/or community care settings).
- Extensive technical skills in creating captivating educational content (content design and/or technical e-learning).
- Extensive knowledge of pan-Canadian digital health standards and tooling.
- Hands-on experience with interoperability standards gap analysis, environmental scan, and HL7 FHIR implementation guides.
- Excellent communication and strong partner engagement skills.
Evaluation Criteria Focus:
- Extensive knowledge and implementation experience with SNOMED CT/SNOMED CT-CA, LOINC/pCLOCD, HL7 v2, HL7 FHIR.
- Ability to translate complex technical functions and processes to applicable language for business audiences.
- Experience in developing provincial terminology strategies and implementation plans.
- Experience in implementing and training others on interoperable digital health solutions.
