You will be responsible for ensuring that all designs adhere to GO-ITS and Ontario Health 2.0 standards while managing technical teams to deliver high-quality, high-availability solutions.

Responsibilities
- Architecture Transformation: Lead the design and infrastructure transformation of the Digital Health Data Platform (DHDP) while maintaining alignment with legacy systems (iPHIS, DHIR).
- Infrastructure Design: Define and design requirements for hardware, software, network, and mobile infrastructure, specifically using PaaS and CaaS (Container as a Service) technologies.
- High Availability: Implement and sustain Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) solutions, specifically working with Oracle T7, Backup and Recovery Appliances, and OVM server farms.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for external vendors including Sematext, Docker, RedHat, and cloud providers.
- Leadership & Management: Oversee technical teams and junior staff, coordinating all aspects of project deliverables, planning timelines, and identifying strategic risks.
- Technical Advisory: Provide expert advice on emerging IT trends (AI, Mobile, Web Services) and translate complex business requirements into robust application designs.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with federal/provincial public-sector healthcare providers and demonstrated experience with GO-ITS Digital Health and Ontario Health standards.
- Proven experience delivering Maximum Availability Architecture solutions using Oracle T7 and Oracle OVM.
- 10+ years of experience with JEE, JSF, Node.js, and mobile development (iOS/Android Native and Hybrid).
- Expert-level knowledge of HL7 standards (FHIR, V2, V3, CDA) and terminology standards (SNOMED-CT, LOINC). Hands-on FHIR implementation is mandatory.
- Experience implementing comprehensive PKI, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
Technical Skills & Leadership
- Deep understanding of hybrid, on-premise, and Cloud development based on PaaS and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to identify areas for improvement, recommend mitigation strategies for strategic risks, and manage project budgets.
- Familiarity with Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts, Architecture Processes, and Blueprints.
