Our client is looking for a Senior Specialized IT Consultant for a 6 month contract in Toronto.
This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities
• End to End Architecture for a Digital Health Solution
· Architect conceptual, logical, and physical solution designs for a secure, scalable web application.
· Leverage Ontario Health’s provincial digital assets and services to enable interoperability, identity, data exchange, and compliance.
• Detailed Component and Integration Design
· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including business teams, clinical partners, and provincial technology groups, to design detailed solution components aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Product Roadmap Alignment and Technical Direction
· Work closely with the Product Manager to refine and validate the product roadmap, ensuring architectural alignment, technical feasibility, and phased delivery planning.

• Requirements Translation Into Technical Specifications

• Privacy and Security Compliance Oversight
· Work with privacy teams to support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) and collaborate with security teams to complete Threat and Risk Assessments (TRA), ensuring the solution meets all PHIPA, security, and compliance obligations.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
· 10+ years of experience in software architecture with a track record of designing and delivering enterprise‑grade solutions.
· 10+ years Demonstrated experience within Ontario’s healthcare ecosystem, including Ontario Health programs, eHealth integrations, EMR/HER/HIS systems, and adherence to PHIPA privacy requirements.
· 10+ years Expert‑level proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, and modern front‑end architectural patterns.
· 10+ years Extensive experience building secure, authenticated, customer‑facing applications using industry standards such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and REST‑based APIs (e.g., .NET Core, Java, Node.js).
· 10+ years Solid understanding of HL7 FHIR‑based APIs, healthcare data flows, and interoperability principles.
· 10+ years Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, along with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
· 10+ years Proven delivery experience within Scrum‑based Agile teams, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement.
· 10+ years Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide, influence, and support delivery teams.
Desired Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
· Experience working with authenticated, customer-focused applications.
· Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Service Bus, and Functions, coupled with proficiency in AWS.
