Our client is looking for a Senior Test Lead for a 6 month contract in Toronto.
This is an onsite role.

Responsibilities
• Lead the design and implementation of a multi-year test strategy.
• Lead the design and implementation of an automated regression test suite
• Manage the requirements traceability matrix to ensure all partner teams have tested their assigned requirements through all phases of the project
• Identify risks and take proactive actions to mitigate issues impacting quality or timelines.
• Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to align QA efforts with project goals.
• Track and report on QA metrics, test progress, and quality indicators. Communicate risks, issues, and status updates to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
Qualifications
Must-haves:
• 8+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including leading QA teams, defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants
• Knowledge and experience in the use of version control systems on one or more platforms, preferably Microsoft DevOps or Selenium
• Experience coordinating testing activities with project managers and others team members
• Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
• Conceptual skills to see the big picture and assist in integrating QA/testing processes and standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts at the specified experience level
Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications
Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms, like Microsoft DevOps or Selenium
Experience initiating the specification, preparation, implementation and execution of tests, monitor the test results, checking the entrance and exit criteria
Experience executing functional tests, non-functional tests and systems level integration tests
Experience coordinating testing activities with project managers and others team members
Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
Experience contributing the testing perspective to other project activities, such as development, integration testing, etc
Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structured methodologies
Experience creating testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation
Experience adapting planning based on test results and progress (tweaking the plan) and take necessary actions to compensate for problems
Experience in quality assurance and testing, including unit testing, data testing, integration testing, load testing, performance testing, etc
Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills; and interpersonal skills
