Responsibilities
âą Lead multiple UX/service design projects from discovery through implementation
âą Conduct user research to define expectations, needs, behaviors, and pain points
âą Facilitate journey mapping, persona development, and user story creation
âą Design and prototype wireframes, mockups, and UI components across devices
âą Lead usability testing, feedback loops, and design iteration cycles
âą Create artifacts including sitemaps, process flows, and storyboards
âą Support and enforce accessibility (AODA/WCAG) standards in design artifacts
âą Collaborate within product trios and cross-functional teams using Agile tools
âą Translate complex data and service needs into clear, effective designs
âą Provide strategic UX consultation to internal stakeholders and executives
âą Document, share, and transfer all design assets and learnings with internal teams
Qualifications
Must Have:
âą Strong knowledge of UX design methodologies, wireframing, and prototyping (Axure, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)
âą Demonstrated experience designing for both web and mobile platforms (portfolio required)
âą Proven ability to lead user research and usability testing activities
âą Knowledge of English language and accessibility standards (AODA, WCAG 2.0)
âą Experience applying service design for digital transformation and process improvement
âą Familiarity with Agile product delivery and tools like Azure DevOps, Jira
âą Clear communicator with strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to Have:
đ Experience working in Ontario Public Sector or public-facing service delivery
đ Familiarity with the product operating model and product trios
đ§ Strategic thinking paired with strong execution of service mapping and design
