Are you a master of logistics with a mechanical mindset? We are seeking a Service Coordinator to act as the central hub for our service operations. This isn't just a dispatch role—it is a critical, revenue-generating position where your ability to manage schedules, source parts, and provide technical estimates directly impacts the bottom line. Think of yourself as the "Air Traffic Controller" of industrial service.
...
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for clients facing critical equipment downtime. You will manage a team of highly skilled field technicians, ensuring that their machinery—and their business—remains operational. This position requires a unique blend of administrative precision and technical understanding. You will be responsible for translating complex field reports into actionable quotes and managing the entire lifecycle of a service call.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift rapidly. You aren’t just filing paperwork; you are problem-solving in real-time. Whether it is sourcing a hard-to-find component or de-escalating a high-pressure client situation, your influence ensures the efficiency and profitability of the branch. If you are looking for a career that offers the stability of a Monday-to-Friday schedule while providing the earning potential typically reserved for sales roles, this is the opportunity for you.
Advantages
Earnings Potential: Unlike traditional administrative roles, this position offers a commission structure based on service revenue and parts sales.
Stability: Work for a market-leading distributor of global industrial brands in a permanent, full-time environment.
Comprehensive Benefits: Includes a full matching pension plan, a $1,000 annual wellness account, and a robust health/dental package starting from day one.
Professional Growth: Gain experience with world-class industrial equipment and modern ERP systems in a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Dispatching: Coordinate and schedule field technicians for both emergency repairs and routine preventative maintenance.
Project Estimating: Translate technician findings into professional, accurate quotes for customers, including labor estimates and parts sourcing.
Customer Advocacy: Act as the calm, professional voice for clients in high-pressure situations, providing constant updates and managing expectations.
Systems Management: Utilize ERP systems and Excel to track work orders from the initial service call through to the final invoice.
Parts Procurement: Work with suppliers to ensure the necessary components are available for scheduled repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications
Proven Experience: Background as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Dispatcher (Heavy Equipment, Automotive, HVAC, or Trucking industries are highly preferred).
Technical Literacy: You are comfortable reading technical manuals and understand the basic mechanics of industrial machinery to distinguish between various parts and components.
High Resilience: You possess "thick skin" and can remain organized and professional when dealing with urgent client demands or complex scheduling conflicts.
Software Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience navigating complex database or ERP software.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both technicians and corporate clients.
