Position Title: Service Technician
Location: Richmond, BC
Permanent Position
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Wage: $30.00 to $34.00/ Hr.
You have Steel Toe Boots
Prior Service Technician experience is a requirement to be considered for an interview.
A strong mechanical and technical aptitude will be considered an asset for this role.
You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of equipment
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Diagnose issues using tools such as multimeters and replace components (e.g., relays, circuit boards, control panels) as needed
Maintain service records and log time/materials in ERP system
Deliver professional customer service onsite and via email, providing guidance on equipment use and care
Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Stay current with industry best practices and participate in training as required
Assist with warehouse duties, deliveries, and occasional DOP and FIT testing
Rare pump rebuilds and involvement with hydraulic systems (e.g., Ride-on Scrapers)
Occasional truck mount installations requiring mechanical aptitude and physical stamina
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical education in electrical or automotive preferred)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a service technician or similar mechanical/electrical role
Valid driver’s license
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
Experience in restoration, construction, cleaning, or industrial safety is an asset
Comfortable using diagnostic tools and testing electrical systems (AC/DC knowledge required)
Ability to read manuals and troubleshoot low voltage issues
Familiar with appliance or small engine repairs
Organized, computer literate, and capable of managing schedules and work orders
Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Physical and Working Conditions:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Work in confined spaces
Performing physical tasks like reaching, kneeling, and standing for long periods
Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and weather elements
Work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, kneeling, standing)
Must follow safety regulations and handle equipment and chemical hazards
Use of personal protective equipment provided
