This position demands a developer who can comfortably write clean code, orchestrate third-party integrations, and ensure platform performance complies with rigid internal governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Advantages
High-Impact Architecture Sandbox: Drive custom application engineering and workflow automation across a large-scale, enterprise-level instance of ServiceNow.
Modern Cloud Integration Focus: Expand your technical portfolio by connecting core service infrastructure with advanced cloud management ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Agile Tech Transformation Ecosystem: Embed yourself within a forward-thinking, automated DevOps culture that prioritizes continuous integration, code reusability, and professional growth.
Balanced Collaborative Autonomy: Work with a high degree of technical ownership while benefiting from the shared knowledge and resources of a multi-disciplinary engineering network.
Responsibilities
Custom Development, Configuration & Integration
Module & App Engineering: Design, build, and deploy custom ServiceNow applications, service modules, and interactive interfaces using Flow Designer, Studio IDE, and Service Portal development tools.
Platform Scripting: Write, refine, and debug robust frontend and backend script logic utilizing JavaScript, GlideScript, and native ServiceNow APIs to govern UI policies, business rules, and client scripts.
API Service Ingestion: Architect and configure secure data exchanges and system integrations connecting ServiceNow to disparate external software systems leveraging REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub.
Access & Platform Governance: Enforce tight security controls and asset transparency by managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Update Sets across development pipelines.
Diagnostics, Compliance & Support
Performance Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, profile, and resolve complex platform defects, performance bottlenecks, and system functionality friction.
Quality Assurance Verification: Conduct rigorous system testing, data validation runs, and technical documentation drafting for all new configurations before deployment.
ITIL Standard Compliance: Ensure all platform modifications and release rollouts strictly adhere to established ITIL principles, corporate risk guidelines, and information security frameworks.
Requirement Synthesis: Partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, translate them into actionable functional specifications, and provide targeted technical documentation or training to end-users when needed.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of direct, hands-on professional experience operating as a ServiceNow Developer or Platform Engineer within an enterprise computing environment.
Module Proficiency: Proven, referenceable track record configuring and supporting core ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, or CSM.
Core Scripting Mastery: Strong proficiency writing clean code inside ServiceNow using JavaScript and GlideScript, backed by a firm understanding of relational data management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical or quantitative discipline.
Soft Skills: Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A self-motivated team member who exhibits strict attention to detail, functions comfortably under limited supervision, and can collaborate smoothly with technical and business peers alike.
Preferred Assets & Qualifications
Holding an active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) designation is highly preferred.
Practical deployment or scripting experience using advanced automation languages (such as Python or PowerShell).
Familiarity navigating modern project delivery methodologies including Agile/Scrum and DevOps pipelines.
Hands-on configuration or cloud computing exposure related to major hyperscale clouds (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
