Responsibilities
•Assess the existing SharePoint on-prem architecture, usage, permissions, and content to develop a comprehensive migration strategy.
•Lead the technical planning and execution of the migration from on-prem SharePoint to SharePoint Online, including OneDrive for Business and Teams integrations where applicable.
•Configure, customize, and optimize SharePoint Online sites, document libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
•Collaborate with IT stakeholders, architects, and business units to ensure alignment with enterprise requirements and user expectations.
•Conduct migration tool evaluations (e.g., Sharegate, Metalogix) and assist with selection, configuration, and usage.
•Provide guidance and training to internal teams on best practices in SharePoint Online governance, content management, and collaboration tools.
•Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SharePoint Online, migration processes, and integrations.
•Support the development of documentation and knowledge transfer materials related to the new environment.
Qualifications
•5+ years of hands-on experience in SharePoint architecture, development, and administration (including both on-prem and Online environments).
•Proven experience leading or supporting migrations from SharePoint on-prem to SharePoint Online.
•In-depth understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory, and Power Platform.
•Experience using third-party migration tools such as Sharegate, AvePoint, or Metalogix.
•Strong knowledge of security, compliance, permissions management, and information architecture in a cloud environment.
•Experience scripting with PowerShell for automation and configuration tasks.
•Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional technical and business teams.
Nice to Have:
•Experience working with public sector or government clients.
•Familiarity with hybrid M365 environments and Active Directory synchronization.
•Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint or M365 (e.g., MS-700, MS-100, or MS-101).
