Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct the nightly manufacturing workflow to ensure all production targets and quality standards are met efficiently.
- Safety Leadership: Enforce strict adherence to workplace safety protocols, environmental procedures, and maintain 5S standards of organization.
- Administrative Management: Oversee shift performance metrics, manage team attendance, and coordinate daily tasks with the production scheduler.
- Technical Support: Execute tool changes and assist the maintenance department as required while performing inventory cycle counts and shipping/receiving duties.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process and provide actionable feedback to the management team to enhance productivity.
- Night Shift Coordination: Manage all facility operations during the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM timeframe to ensure seamless transition between rotations.
Qualifications
- Leadership Background: You possess at least 3 years of experience as a Shift Supervisor or in a similar leadership capacity within a production setting.
- Certifications: You must hold a valid Lift Truck License and First Aid Certification, with a firm grasp of ESA and OHSA regulations.
- Industry Knowledge: You are well-versed in ISO 9001:2015, Lean Manufacturing principles, and the 5S organizational methodology.
- Systems Proficiency: You demonstrate strong computer literacy in Excel and Word, and you have practical experience utilizing ERP systems.
- Educational Foundation: You have completed secondary education or possess an equivalent blend of professional experience and leadership training.
- Communication Skills: You can effectively apply common sense to complex instructions and communicate clearly with various departments in the industrial management field.
