Responsibilities
• Perform all shipping and receiving duties, including the accurate verification, inspection, and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Unload materials from trucks, which may include items such as drums of oil, tires, and various industrial safety products.
• Operate a sit-down counterbalance (CB) forklift safely and efficiently to move, convey, and hoist shipments (training can be provided for the right candidate).
• Manage inventory tasks with precision, including cycle counts, stock organization, and maintaining accurate records using company computer systems.
• Travel to customer and supplier locations to provide on-site support, which may include managing industrial supply vending machines and utilizing RFID technology.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, to route materials correctly.
• Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare them for shipping, ensuring all packages are secure and compliant with specifications.
Qualifications
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, crucial for providing outstanding customer service and collaborating with team members.
• Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to quickly learn new software for inventory management, data entry, and communication.
• A proactive, self-starter attitude with the proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record-keeping, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
• Strong problem-solving skills to effectively address shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, or customer inquiries.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures within a manufacturing & logistics warehouse setting.
