Highlights of the position
Straight day shift - 8:00am - 5:00pm
Permanent Position from Day 1 with benefits after 3 months
Pay rate : $25

Responsibilities
● Manufacturing shipping and receiving position that oversees the daily receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, and supplies
● On and off-loading materials from trucks. Verify all incoming shipments by comparing the purchase order to the packing slip and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition
● Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
● Receive / accept deliveries and store them properly within the warehouse
● Some additional duties involve assembly, pick / packing, and using scales.
● Keep a daily log of duties performed throughout the day
● Keep work area clean and organized, including breaking down boxes, taking out the garbage (shipping area only)
● Training new employees
Qualifications
● Experience working in a fast-paced shipping environment for over 2-3 years
● Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods
● Forklift experience: preferred (counterbalance)
● Nice to have GED or equivalent in training and experience
● Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
● Knowledge of shipping functions and needs
● Working knowledge of Microsoft office: preferred but willing to train
● Inventory related knowledge and experience within a manufacturing environment: preferred
● Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
● Personal accountability and integrity are paramount
● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
● Excellent verbal communications skills
● Proven record of punctuality and attendance
● Be self motivated
● Organized and able to follow instructions
● Proactive
● Safety Boots are required on the job
● Perform any other duties that may be assigned
