Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming shipments for quality, verify quantities against packing slips, document discrepancies, and load/unload trucks or containers.
Material Handling & Operations: Safely operate forklifts, complete daily equipment inspections, and build, wrap, and band skids securely for transit.
Logistics & Systems: Coordinate and book trucks via email, process parcel shipments through courier portals (UPS, Purolator, FedEx, Dicom), and use the ERP system to review sales orders.
Inventory & Lean Standards: Keep raw materials and finished goods organized using 6S lean methods, and track warehouse supply needs.
Production & Maintenance Support: Assist production by preparing raw materials, loading machines, clearing prep areas, and performing basic "handyman" tasks to keep the facility in working order.
Qualifications
Requires 3 years of hands-on experience in shipping/receiving, material handling, or warehouse operations within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Certification: Valid forklift operating experience is required; an active certification is highly preferred, or a willingness to obtain one.
Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP databases, and standard courier shipping platforms.
Physical Requirements: Ability to comfortably lift up to 50lbs and handle active, physical warehouse tasks.
Core Strengths: Exceptional organization, strong attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent credential.
