Are you an organized and motivated logistics professional seeking a rewarding career opportunity as a Shipper/Receiver?
Our team of expert recruiters is currently seeking a dedicated shipper/receiver to join a dynamic, close-knit team in Nepean, ON.
...
This contract-to-hire position sits squarely within our manufacturing & logistics specialization and is designed for an independent worker who thrives in an autonomous role but also possesses a friendly, sociable personality. You will be working for our client, a highly respected independent shop in the lighting, plumbing, and hardware industry, where every team member collaborates closely and communicates daily. This is your chance to secure a stable role within the manufacturing & logistics sector and become a vital contributor to a small, supportive team environment.
As a shipper/receiver, you will manage the daily flow of goods coming into and leaving the warehouse. This specific role within manufacturing & logistics focuses on manual operations; you will not be using a forklift, so a hands-on approach to heavy lifting and physical labor is essential. Accuracy is paramount, as all incoming merchandise is verified using traditional paper inventory systems rather than digital scanners. Staying organized and maintaining open lines of communication with your coworkers ensures that operations run smoothly. By mastering these responsibilities, you will showcase your expertise in manufacturing & logistics and position yourself for long-term career growth with the client after the successful completion of your probationary period.
