Located - 50th Street, Edmonton, AB, T6B 2N7, this position offers a stable daytime schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime. Responsibilities
• Receive and unpack incoming shipments, carefully checking contents for accuracy against documentation and correctly recording all shipment data.
• Promptly report any discrepancies, damages, or problems with received goods to the Inventory Control team and the designated Buyer.
• Create, update, and process both physical paper and online shipping and receiving orders from domestic and international suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate carrier pickups, track outgoing shipments, and proactively troubleshoot transit problems by contacting suppliers and shipping companies.
• Store received materials efficiently on stockroom shelves and in designated bins, keeping the entire warehouse area clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform essential stockroom tasks daily, including picking orders correctly and quickly to meet tight manufacturing schedules.
• Conduct periodic inventory reviews and routine cycle counting to ensure warehouse balances remain entirely accurate.
• Maintain organized, current paper files and digital records to ensure team members can locate vital paperwork quickly.
• Follow detailed warehouse and safety procedures in order, accurately and consistently, to maintain high operational standards.
• Execute other operational and warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the broader logistics team.
Qualifications
Basic, foundational knowledge of warehouse management principles and inventory flow control.
• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to spot discrepancies in documentation or physical shipments.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipping deadlines simultaneously.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external carrier partners.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot shipping delays or inventory mismatches calmly and efficiently.
• Physical capability to lift, move, or push items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
