Responsibilities
- Direct daily shop floor operations and supervise assembly workers in Burlington.
- Construct heavy equipment, taking a active role as a Shop Foreman using MIG/TIG welders, plasma cutters, and lathes.
- Interpret detailed technical blueprints and schematics to plan effective assembly paths and pipe fitting.
- Ensure strict compliance with all OHSA & WSIB workplace health and safety protocols.
- Partner with engineering teams to resolve technical assembly issues and support timekeeping or payroll administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience as a Shop Foreman or machine builder in heavy equipment manufacturing.
- Solid background supervising, mentoring, and directing shop floor personnel.
- Proven ability to perform mechanical assembly, fabrication, GTAW, SMAW, FCAW welding, and basic machining.
- Assets include active 433A Certification, crane, forklift, or scissor lift operator credentials.
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and heavy equipment rigging techniques.
