Reporting directly to corporate finance with local operational alignment, this role is ideal for a proactive accounting professional ready to take ownership of the full accounting cycle, drive process improvements, and spearhead key change management initiatives across multi-department project operations.

Responsibilities
• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll supervision
• Produce monthly and annual financial statements, management reports, and key performance indicators
• Implement, manage, and refine the percentage-of-completion Work in Progress project accounting framework
• Partner closely with project managers and department leaders to analyze project costs and variances
• Drive change management efforts to modernize internal processes and support ongoing software implementations
• Oversee internal controls, cash flow management, external audit coordination, and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance
• Supervise and mentor the local accounting support team
Qualifications
• CPA designation is required
• 6 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience with more recent leadership roles
• Strong expertise in Work in Progress and percentage-of-completion project accounting
• Prior experience in construction, trades, or project-based commercial services is strongly preferred
• Experience with financial software transitions or ERP implementations is an asset, with knowledge of Sage Intact or Sage HCM being a strong plus
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a proven ability to manage change effectively
