Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Manage daily coordination of sub-trades, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure seamless workflow.
Safety Leadership: Facilitate site safety orientations and weekly meetings, strictly enforcing provincial OHS regulations and internal safety protocols.
Field Administration: Maintain accurate daily logs, safety inspection reports, and project documentation.
Logistics Management: Direct the movement of materials in and out of the site to prevent delays.
Active Leadership: Supervise smaller-scale projects and provide technical mentorship to team members; be prepared to engage in manual labor as necessary to keep the project moving.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Foreman or similar site leadership capacity within the commercial or light industrial sectors.
Certifications: Valid Leadership for Safety Excellence, Fall Protection, AWP, and Forklift tickets are mandatory.
Preferred Credentials: NCSO designation and Journeyman Carpenter status are highly regarded; First Aid training is an asset.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and navigate uneven terrain or obstacles common to active construction sites.
Soft Skills: A collaborative mindset with the ability to provide creative solutions under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive, high-energy attitude.
