Responsibilities
System Assembly: Assemble laboratory systems and components according to design specifications by reading and following bills of materials, diagrams, and drawings. This involves using a variety of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the final product meets engineering specifications and quality control requirements through various methods of testing.
Troubleshooting and Rework: Diagnose and repair non-conforming systems and components, including tasks such as soldering electrical connections.
Collaboration and Improvement: Work with engineers to provide feedback for the continual improvement of processes and products and assist in building prototype systems.
Operational Support: Assist in tasks and procedures related to product quality and inventory control.
Qualifications
2-5 years of hands-on experience building and testing mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
Proficiency in soldering.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in using jigs, fixtures, and power tools.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel.
Demonstrated attention to detail and strong communication skills.
