- Promote apprenticeship pathways and skilled trades careers through engaging presentations and outreach events.
- Provide comprehensive guidance to apprentices on program requirements, career planning, and available training opportunities.
- Act as a key liaison, mediating between apprentices, employers, and training providers to ensure a seamless experience.
- Support employers in understanding apprenticeship regulations, registration processes, and funding avenues.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to enhance program delivery and apprentice support.
- Track apprentice progress diligently, ensuring adherence to established training standards and program milestones.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license and consistent access to a vehicle is essential for this Apprenticeship Advisor role.
- A Certified Journeyperson designation or a post-secondary diploma/degree in education, skilled trades, workforce development, or a related field is required.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or working within apprenticeship programs or workforce development initiatives.
- Proven background in providing career counseling or educational guidance, particularly within the skilled trades.
- Familiarity with various apprenticeship pathways, trade certifications, and current industry training standards.
- Experience engaging with diverse communities, including underrepresented groups, to promote access to skilled trades careers.
