Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes for parts up to 16” diameter.
- Perform machining on horizontal boring milling machines for 20% of the schedule.
- Execute precision turns on bronze, mild steel, and stainless-steel alloys.
- Maintain +/-0.001” tolerances on all production and custom boat bearing components.
Qualifications
- Provide 7 to 8 years of professional experience as a manual engine lathe machinist.
- Apply advanced trigonometry and blueprint reading skills to complex machining tasks.
- Utilize micrometers, inside gauges, and pie tapes for precise measurement verification.
- Possess a General Machinist Ticket or equivalent expertise in the manufacturing industry.
