Software Developer - Full Stack - Senior

We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Developer for a 10-month contract based in Toronto. This hybrid position requires on-site presence three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining two.

This role is ideal for someone with deep technical knowledge in Java, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL, and experience building enterprise-grade, n-tier web applications using Oracle databases. Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the design, development, configuration, and integration of enterprise-level software systems using Java, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL.
- Develop scalable and secure n-tier web-based applications utilizing Oracle databases and open-source frameworks such as Spring, myBatis, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
- Implement web services and responsive front-end interfaces that meet accessibility standards (e.g., AODA compliance).
- Create, modify, and optimize Oracle SQL scripts and database objects; ensure efficient interaction between application layers and the database.
- Utilize tools such as Jasper Reports for the development and maintenance of reporting functionalities.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and iterative methodologies, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of business-critical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, contributing to system stability and performance optimization.
- Analyze business requirements and provide input on system design decisions; offer innovative and technically feasible solutions to unique problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and deliver features aligned with project goals.
- Follow established coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices in software development and deployment.
- Contribute to documentation, testing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing activities to support ongoing system enhancements and team development.

Qualifications
Must haves:
· Experience in systems design, configuration, integration and development, IT security, programming concepts, languages and related methods, techniques, practices and standards in JAVA, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL
· Experience in using open-source software such as Spring, myBatis, Bootstrap, jQuery
· Hands on experience in n-tier web-based application development using Oracle database
· Development experience using emerging technologies such as Web Services, web responsive frontend development, AODA compliant solutions
· Experience using reporting tools such as Jasper
· Demonstrated experience directly supporting the SDLC (agile/iterative) and implementation of business-critical software applications and systems
· Hands on experience with Oracle SQL scripts and good understanding of RDMBS
