In this mission-critical quality engineering role, you will champion automated testing across two core parallel workstreams supporting the Unified Advisor Experience: electronic application/lifecycle tracking and digital document management. Embedded within an Agile squad alongside backend and full-stack developers, you will design, build, and maintain robust API and integration test automation suites. Your focus will be validating advisor-facing data, transaction lifecycle statuses, and client tax/statement documents by verifying seamless integrations between backend source platforms (such as CRM and enterprise content/document repositories) and modern front-end web portals. Work includes comprehensive end-to-end data validation, metadata/tagging checks, access-control testing, and CI/CD-integrated regression suites.
Contract Duration: Approximately 4 Months (Target Term: November 17, 2026 – March 13, 2027, with potential for extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid or Remote (Flexible delivery model)

Responsibilities
API & Integration Test Automation: Design, build, and maintain automated API and integration test suites using tools like Postman, Bruno, or REST Assured to validate complex service-facade and orchestration layers.
End-to-End Data & Document Validation: Execute rigorous end-to-end data verification across integrated backend systems and front-end UI contracts, ensuring accurate status tracking, document delivery, metadata tagging, and entitlement/access controls.
UI Test Automation: Build and maintain automated UI regression tests utilizing modern frameworks (Playwright with fixture-driven page object models and accessibility-first selectors).
CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Integrate automated test suites, regression runs, and automated reporting (with screenshots and logs) directly into GitHub PR-based CI/CD workflows.
Agile Quality Advocacy: Actively participate in sprint ceremonies, conduct defect triage and lifecycle management, and collaborate with backend developers to resolve issues early in the delivery lifecycle.
Qualifications
Automation & Scripting Expertise: Proven experience building test automation frameworks from scratch using Java, JavaScript, or Python.
API & Integration Testing: Advanced proficiency in API and integration testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, Bruno, REST Assured, or equivalent).
End-to-End Validation: Demonstrated track record performing multi-system data validation, contract testing, and security/entitlement verification across backend systems and web interfaces.
CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Practical experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/PR workflows) with comprehensive test reporting.
UI Automation Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with modern UI test frameworks, specifically Playwright (or Cypress/Selenium).
Agile QE Practices: Deep familiarity with Agile quality engineering practices, test case design, and defect management tools (Jira).
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Experience conducting performance and load testing using JMeter.
Prior experience testing integrations involving enterprise CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) or content/document management repositories (e.g., Alfresco).
Domain background in Banking, Wealth Management, or Financial Services.
Exposure to testing orchestration layers, service facades, and network mocking.
