In this hands-on technical role, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade client-server applications and web services. Working across the full software development lifecycle in an Agile environment, you will build microservices using Java and Spring Boot, construct responsive front-end user interfaces using Angular, and maintain automated CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, conduct peer code reviews, participate in technical architecture design discussions, and provide tier-3 technical expertise during incident management and outage resolutions.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (11/16/2026 to 11/15/2027; high potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Initially 2 days per week on-site at corporate offices, transitioning to 4 days per week on-site next year)

Responsibilities
Full-Stack Application Development: Design, code, unit test, and implement scalable web applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.

CI/CD & Pipeline Management: Build, maintain, and support continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines using GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus.
Code Quality & Peer Reviews: Participate in quality management and peer code reviews to ensure defect-free programming, architectural compliance, and adherence to security standards.
Infrastructure & Incident Support: Provide technical expertise during incident management, perform impact assessments for outages, and optimize system infrastructure and application operability.
Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, story estimation, and technical task breakdowns in JIRA and Confluence.
Qualifications
Java & Spring Boot Expertise: Deep, hands-on proficiency in full-stack Java web application design, microservices architecture, and the Spring Boot framework.
Front-End Development: Strong proficiency with Angular (and Node.js) for building dynamic, modern user interfaces.
DevOps & Pipeline Tooling: Practical experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, and modern automated deployment pipelines.
Web Services & Integration: Solid experience designing and building REST and SOAP web services (JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JAXB2).
Database & SQL Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
Infrastructure Literacy: Good foundational understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud connectivity, and system deployment mechanics.
Agile Frameworks: Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and tooling (JIRA, Confluence).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
