Responsibilities
As a Solution Architect / Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Architecting and implementing Azure Cloud native Enterprise Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric, integrating both structured and unstructured data.
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to the development team, and driving architectural decisions that influence the data platform's scalability and maintainability.
- Designing and developing data governance, security, and compliance frameworks specifically within the Microsoft Fabric environment.
- Designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Spark and actively assisting in the development of these pipelines to expedite the project.
- Designing and implementing Lakehouse and Data Warehouse Models for seamless data ingestion, transformation, and consumption. Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Microsoft Fabric architecture blueprints.
- Guiding the migration of legacy systems to Microsoft Fabric and working closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Cloud Architects to implement end-to-end data solutions.
- Creating and maintaining critical technical documentation, including Architecture Diagrams, Solution Documents, and other related project artifacts.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in architecting and implementing large-scale Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Lakehouse solutions on a cloud platform (preferably Azure/Microsoft Fabric).
- Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric and its components, including developing data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Spark.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques for both traditional data warehouses and modern lakehouses.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into architecture blueprints and provide team guidance.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and influence architectural decisions for scalability and maintainability.
- Strong problem-solving ability to analyze existing systems, identify modernization areas, and troubleshoot challenges.
