In this Spot Welder position, you will be responsible for operating specialized resistance welding equipment to join metal parts together. Beyond the primary task of spot welding, your daily routine will involve essential fabrication techniques such as grinding and plasma cutting to prepare or finish workpieces. The manufacturing & logistics environment is fast-paced and safety-oriented, requiring a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality standards. We are currently offering multiple openings for this Spot Welder role with two convenient shift options to fit your lifestyle: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or Night Shift (5:00 PM – 4:30 AM, Monday to Thursday), allowing for a consistent three-day weekend!

Responsibilities
• Operate resistance spot welding machines to join various metal components according to technical specifications.
• Use plasma cutting tools to cut and shape metal parts as required for the production line.
• Perform grinding and deburring tasks to ensure smooth finishes and high-quality joints on all welded products.
• Conduct regular quality inspections of finished parts to identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the manufacturing & logistics facility to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow all established health and safety protocols, including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with the production supervisor and team members to meet daily output targets and deadlines.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance throughout the shift.
• Document production counts and report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team promptly.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a manufacturing & logistics or industrial environment is considered a strong asset.
• Proven ability to perform spot welding, grinding, and plasma cutting tasks effectively.
• No formal welding certification is required, but practical experience is highly valued.
• Ability to commute reliably to the job site in Aylmer, Ontario.
• Commitment to working the full duration of your assigned shift (Days or Nights).
• Strong focus on safety and a track record of following workplace safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where meeting production quotas is essential.
