Responsibilities
• Operate resistance spot welding machines to join metal components according to technical specifications.
• Use plasma cutting tools to accurately cut and shape metal parts for the production line.
• Perform grinding and deburring tasks to ensure smooth finishes and high-quality joints.
• Inspect finished workpieces for defects to maintain strict quality control standards.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment parameters based on material thickness and type.
• Monitor equipment performance and perform basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Handle and move materials safely, including manual lifting of parts weighing up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience in a Spot Welder or production welding role.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
• Availability to work the full day shift schedule.
• Previous experience in automotive manufacturing is a strong asset.
• Valid work authorization for Canada.
• Proven experience as a Spot Welder or in a similar welding role.
• Proficiency in operating resistance welding machinery and plasma cutting equipment.
• Strong manual dexterity for precise grinding and deburring tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
• Commitment to safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Reliability and punctuality for a consistent day shift schedule.
