Responsibilities
• Operate, monitor, and adjust robotic spot welding equipment to ensure quality and consistency in the welding process.
• Interpret and accurately follow technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to determine appropriate welding sequences and setups.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on welding robots and related equipment to maximize uptime.
• Monitor the welding process and apply expertise in welding procedures and heating effects to eliminate or minimize product warping and distortion.
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure all welds meet required standards and tolerances.
• Load and unload components and materials from the robotic welder in an efficient and safe manner.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the manufacturing facility.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area on the afternoon shift.
• Collaborate with supervisors and maintenance staff on complex repairs or equipment performance issues.
Qualifications
• Proficient and proven experience as a Robotic Spot Welder or similar automated welding role.
• Expert ability to read, interpret, and work from complex blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills related to welding equipment and robotics.
• In-depth knowledge of various welding procedures, metal properties, and the precise control of heating effects to prevent material warping.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, defect-free welds.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity during the afternoon shift.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures within a busy manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within the Industrial Management team.
