Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in financial reporting, cost and inventory analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking. This position is ideal for someone looking to contribute directly to operational efficiency and financial strategy.

Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and quarter-end reporting processes, including financial statement preparation and variance analysis
- Analyze inventory and manufacturing costs (materials, labor, overhead) and provide actionable insights to improve margins
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Support the development and monitoring of internal controls and financial policies
- Conduct detailed variance and trend analyses to support strategic decision-making
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and cost accounting data in accordance with ASPE
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to support cost optimization and process efficiency
- Assist with audit preparation and tax compliance (GST/HST, VAT)
- Identify and implement opportunities for financial process improvement and automation
- Mentor junior finance team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA is a strong asset
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and ASPE
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., AS400, Microsoft 365 Business Central)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
