Responsibilities
Client & Internal Engagement
Act as a primary point of contact for external clients and internal client representatives throughout the quoting and procurement lifecycle.
Professionally engage with clients to clarify requirements and delivery/project timelines.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., technical teams) to ensure alignment between client needs and technical feasibility.
Escalate complex technical or solution design issues when they exceed defined capabilities.
Quoting & Commercial Support
Develop accurate, compliant, and timely quotes for IT hardware, software, and associated peripherals.
Understand and respect defined technical and commercial boundaries, engaging the Technical Team when required.
Apply sufficient technical knowledge to streamline the sales cycle and reduce rework.
Ensure quotes accurately reflect configurations, quantities, licensing considerations, and commercial assumptions.
Understand complex procurement cycles and vehicles, including those for public sector clients.
Technical & Product Knowledge
Maintain broad, working-level IT knowledge across servers, storage, networking, desktops, notebooks, software, licensing, and peripherals.
Leverage product knowledge to interpret client requirements and translate them into accurate commercial documentation.
Recognize when deeper architectural or design expertise is required and proactively involve the Technical Team.
Systems Execution
Create, manage, and maintain quotes, sales orders, and related records within the company's ERP system.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all transactional records.
Learn and adapt quickly to established ERP workflows and customizations.
Identify inefficiencies or data issues and contribute to process improvement.
Procurement & Fulfillment
Act as the procurement arm for quoted solutions once a client contract is received.
Coordinate with distributors and manufacturers to ensure accurate ordering, pricing alignment, and delivery timelines.
Maintain accountability for procurement accuracy and fulfillment readiness.
Qualifications
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Experience with an ERP system is preferred; the ability to rapidly learn the company’s system is required.
High attention to detail, sound judgment, and professional communication skills.
A foundational understanding of enterprise and end-user IT technologies, including servers, storage platforms, networking, desktops, and notebooks. Staff must understand how these components operate and interrelate to accurately scope requirements and prepare quotes.
