Responsibilities
1. Prepares goods for final shipment; prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
2. Maintains cleanliness of inventory area, inventory organization and racking, ensuring it is safe and clean.
3. Performs cycle counting as determined by Inventory Manager, ie daily cycle counting and reporting. Actual
physical counts of products, parts, and bin controls required.
4. Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paper
work in software accounting system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product
to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services. Familiar with various shipping software ie..UPS,
Fedex and Canada Post.
5. Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and organization of the dock and inventory areas; includes
hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other
departments and outside waste disposal vendor.
6. Unloading of containers and putting away stock.
7. Processing customer returns.
Qualifications
• Ability and desire to work cooperatively on a team with others
• Ability to demonstrate concern for satisfying one’s external and/or internal customers
• Ability to tackle a problem using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach
• Ability to identify what needs to be done and do it before being asked or before the situation requires it
• Ability to function effectively under pressure and maintain self-control in the face of difficult situations and
deadlines
• Understand the importance of using safety equipment and follow safety procedures to protect oneself and
others.
