This key position is designed for an operational leader who excels at driving profitability, maintaining top-tier KPI standards, and fostering strong client relationships.
As the Senior Warehouse Manager, you will take full operational and financial ownership of the Calgary facility, ensuring smooth receiving, shipping, and inventory workflows while building a high-performing team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Environment: 3PL Warehouse / Logistics & Distribution
Wage: $94,000 to $110,000 per year ( based on experience)

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Operational Leadership: Manage daily receiving, shipping, storage, and inventory control operations to meet service level agreements.
Financial & P&L Oversight: Manage branch budgets, track operating expenses, analyze financial variances, and drive business unit profitability.
Team Development: Build, train, and mentor warehouse staff—including onboarding and actively managing performance through regular evaluation and coaching.
Client & Vendor Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, negotiate rates/agreements, and address service inquiries or irregularities through CAPA processes.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce local and company health, safety, WHMIS, and security regulations to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
Process Optimization: Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), optimize layout/design for efficiency, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
3PL Experience: Minimum 6+ years of management experience working directly for a 3PL provider within the last 10 years.
Proven Tenure: Consistent career stability with an average tenure of 5+ years per employer (internal career progression is highly valued).
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS / AS400), distribution workflows, safety acts, and financial budgeting.
Leadership & Communication: Excellent interpersonal, client-facing, and analytical skills with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams.
Education & Licenses: Post-Secondary education; valid Class 5 Driver’s License; WHMIS/TDG certifications and forklift experience are assets.
