Responsibilities
• Research and gather competitive pricing quotes from various vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Manage the intake of purchase requests and coordinate with specialized purchasers for order fulfillment.
• Receive incoming deliveries, identify items, and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
• Organize and maintain inventory stores by class code and specific laboratory requirements.
• Process returned tools and equipment, ensuring everything is properly placed and recorded.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in the transition to a full digital inventory system.
• Collaborate with teams to suggest and implement process improvements for store operations.
• Provide professional and prompt assistance to staff members regarding inventory and tool needs.
Qualifications
• Exceptional organizational mindset with a proactive approach to process optimization.
• Professional email and verbal communication skills for vendor and team interaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically basic to intermediate Excel for tracking.
• Familiarity with Smartsheets or a willingness to learn new administrative software.
• Ability to adapt to different personalities and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong analytical skills to compare pricing and identify the best value for purchases.
• Basic technical aptitude to handle various proprietary and generic tools.

• Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or shipping/receiving environment is highly preferred.
• Junior background in project management or business administration is a major asset.
