Responsibilities
Perform high-integrity B-Pressure welds on carbon and stainless pipe and components
Supervise and lead welders, ensuring quality control, safety compliance, and timely completion of work
Read and interpret technical blueprints, isometrics, and welding procedures (WPS)
Carry out fit-ups, layouts, and joint preparation
Ensure all welds meet ASME codes and client requirements
Participate in weld inspections, mapping, and documentation processes
Train and mentor junior welders and apprentices
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first shop floor
Qualifications
5+ years of B-Pressure welding experience, ideally in an industrial or fabrication environment
Current Alberta B-Pressure certification
Skilled in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes
Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams or leading work crews
Meticulous attention to weld quality, procedure adherence, and documentation
Deep understanding of welding codes, material characteristics, and inspection criteria
Capable of working independently and making informed decisions on the floor
Excellent communication and team-building skills
