Main Purpose of the Team
The Technology team provides the IT services that enable our client's business to operate and scale. The team equips retail store and support office personnel with the tools and equipment needed to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Main Purpose of the Role
The Supply Chain Systems Specialist operates as an operational product owner, responsible for the stability, availability, and continuous improvement of business-critical supply chain infrastructure within the client's regional operations. The role ensures related hardware and software systems reliably deliver against business objectives while maintaining high operational quality. This position is based primarily out of the client's main Distribution Centre in the Metro Vancouver region.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate hands-on experience supporting technology in a warehouse, distribution centre, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
Own the technical operations of the supply chain technology stack, including WMS, OMS, quality control/manufacturing hardware, and integrated ERP platforms.
Monitor application performance, availability, and operational health, driving timely resolution of incidents and service requests in coordination with internal support teams and external vendors.
Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to collaborate effectively with colleagues across global regions.
Support the transition of new applications, upgrades, and enhancements into production, ensuring operational readiness and supportability in close coordination with Project and Delivery teams.
Act as a trusted local technology partner for regional supply chain and logistics teams.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
7+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications within a retail or supply chain environment.
Strong working knowledge of WMS, OMS, ERP, inventory, and warehouse execution platforms, along with the operational processes they support.
Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, file-based interfaces, scheduled jobs, middleware, and transaction monitoring.
Practical SQL and data analysis skills to investigate transactions, validate data, and identify root causes.
Experience with major ERP platforms (e.g., Infor M3 or equivalent enterprise systems).
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
Experience supporting enterprise-grade, cloud-hosted WMS applications and SaaS platforms.
Knowledge of supply chain master data, inventory controls, traceability, and data governance practices.
