Our client is seeking for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a contract role of 9 months, with a possible one-time extension. Work model is hybrid, requiring 3 in-office days weekly based in Toronto.

Responsibilities

âą Perform AODA testing using screen readers, contrast checkers, and browser toolbars
âą Analyze BRDs, prepare test scenarios, and manage test cases in Azure DevOps
âą Collaborate with developers and UX designers to ensure accessible front-end development (HTML5, WAI-ARIA, Java, AngularJS)
âą Conduct both manual and automated testing for web and mobile platforms
âą Review architecture and provide accessibility remediation recommendations
âą Execute system integration testing and support UAT testing across teams
âą Generate test data using database queries and model analysis
Qualifications
Must Have:
âą 5â10 yearsâ experience in QA with exposure to:
âą Automation and manual testing types: black box, penetration, security, AODA, system, and UAT
âą Regression and performance testing (manual and automated)
âą Azure DevOps â defect tracking, test case creation, test execution
âą Hands-on experience with:
âą Selenium, Postman, and various UI/UX testing tools
âą HTML5, WAI-ARIA tags, UX principles, and Java/AngularJS codebases
âą Strong documentation skills: Test Strategies, Test Plans, Defect Reports, Test Scenarios
âą Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies
Nice to Have:
đ§ Bilingual testing capabilities
âż Deep understanding of WCAG and AODA standards
đ§± Experience testing COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) applications
đ± Cross-platform mobile and OS testing experience
đ Familiarity with tools for syntax checking, screen readers, and other accessibility tools
