Responsibilities
Mitigation of operational, financial and reputational risk
To review and control the collection of all core tax
documentation to enable full tax service offering in markets offers service
Establish working relationships with people at all levels both inter departmental and across the wider Firm
To be proactive and encourage the harmonization of the Tax Advisory, Tax Reporting, Tax Documentation and Tax Reclaim areas into a single efficient unit
To ensure that a client focused service approach is adopted at all times in completing work to the highest standards of accuracy
To be responsible for the delivery of any exceptional processing projects in a timely manner
To ensure the quality of replies and response times to queries are met
Raise awareness for any processes believed to be
broken or inefficient to Management Team
Ensure Policies and Procedures are adhered to at all
times without exception
Immediately escalate all critical issues, potential
operational risk events to Associate Director to ensure
risk containment and client satisfaction
To prepare the files for processing of all withholding tax
reclaims ensuring that all target production periods are
met and acceptable levels of accuracy maintained (REC)
To manage the reconciliation process between sub-
custodian, client reporting platforms and internal reclaim
system records (REC)
Annual re-solicitation of Relief At Source documentation
across all global markets (RAS)
Processing and verification payment of received tax
refunds within set timeframes (PMTS)
To manage and assist in the processing of all new accounts
to ensure that all target production periods are met and
acceptable levels of accuracy maintained (AO)
Qualifications
Must have:
Diploma/degree in Commerce/Finance
Intermediate-Advanced proficiency in Excel
Nice to have:
1-2 years of payments/cash transactions background
Custody background (entitlements will be an added
advantage)
