Responsibilities
• Prepare T2 Corporation Income Tax Returns for Canadian corporations.
• Prepare T3 Trust Income Tax Returns and relevant filing documentation.
• Prepare corporate and trust tax schedules along with detailed supporting working papers.
• Review financial statements and accounting records thoroughly for tax preparation.
• Identify tax adjustments and reconcile accounting income to taxable income.
• Prepare tax returns accurately and efficiently in accordance with CRA requirements.
• Prepare and review GST/HST and other regulatory tax filings as required.
• Respond directly to CRA correspondence and assist with CRA reviews and audits.
• Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation and resolve tax-related questions.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and complete tax files.
• Manage multiple client files simultaneously while adhering to strict filing deadlines.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of dedicated Canadian tax preparation experience in finance & accounting.
• Proven, hands-on track record preparing T2 corporate and T3 trust tax returns.
• Strong background working with accounting records, tax schedules, and CRA filings.
• Technical fluency with Taxprep, CCH iFirm, or equivalent tax preparation tools.
• Very fluent in English (written and verbal communication).
• Capability to work in Burlington, Ontario under a 3-day in-office / 2-day remote hybrid model.
