As the Team Lead, Accounting for Partnerships and Projects, you will play a key role in coordinating accounting activities and providing financial insights for our business partners within the Dealer Services division. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you’ll oversee accounting operations for sector-wide projects, lead process improvement initiatives, and provide leadership and mentorship to the team.

Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams within Dealer Services.
- Represent accounting in partnership and product development meetings, driving the creation of effective accounting models and processes.
- Maintain and continuously improve your understanding of accounting treatments across various products and partnerships.
- Identify operational pain points and collaborate with the team to implement creative and scalable solutions.
- Enhance and document accounting and internal control procedures; ensure process documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Lead or support process improvement projects focused on increasing efficiency, automation, and quality.
- Assist the Director in setting priorities, coordinating accounting workflows, and supporting team planning.
- Review and approve accounting entries and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Oversee account reconciliations, identify variances, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, and other specialized teams to implement changes resulting from regulatory updates.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting as needed by leadership.
- Support external audits and internal inquiries; lead the implementation of recommended actions.
- Promote knowledge sharing and cross-training to strengthen team collaboration and agility.
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Prior experience in insurance and reinsurance is a strong asset.
- Proven ability to lead teams or manage key relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion is an asset.
