Location: Aldergrove
Schedule: Monday-Friday + Occasional Saturday when needed
Shift Time: 7:00AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Pay rate: $26 to $28 per hour
Forklift ticket required - sit down counterbalance

Responsibilities
• Ensure all equipment has been inspected daily by operators prior to using/operating including lift trucks and stud chopping machine
• Oversee the strapping of material on production carts using banding machines
• Assist in supplying coils to the production line to maintain workflow
• Organize and place material accurately within storage racks
• Receive and mark incoming coils, including scanning paperwork and attaching mill certifications
• Manage inventory rotation to ensure older coils are used prior to newer stock
• Verify orders for next-day loads individually and relay information to the order desk
• Map and plan truck loads to maximize efficiency and safety
• Coordinate truck shipments while maintaining professional and respectful relationships with shipping agencies
• Perform rigorous counting, paperwork verification, and quality control checks
• Lead the loading and unloading of material on trucks using specialized equipment
• Ensure proper stacking of coils and general yard housekeeping
• Manage the emptying of knock-out and garbage bins to maintain a safe workspace
• Conduct final checks on completed loads and sign off on all driver paperwork
Qualifications
• Previous supervisory or lead hand experience in an industrial or manufacturing & logistics setting
• Valid Forklift Certification is mandatory
• Previous experience operating overhead cranes
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with steel industry tools such as chop saws and binding machines
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation to the Aldergrove area
• Commitment to daily equipment inspections and safety protocols
