The Challenge:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Technical Representative’s mission is to offer the best packaging solutions to customers and optimize their properties and overall performance to help achieve company sales and revenue objectives. This is achieved by supporting client’s unique needs by offering innovative packaging product designs, automation & standardisation solutions, and cost saving opportunities tailored to their situation.
Must be available for travel within Canada and the United States 50% of working time as part of the role.

Education: Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design Technology, or equivalent.
Experience: + years in a client focused engineering technology representative role or similar; Experience in automation, mechatronics, and project management a strong asset.
Technical: ERP and CRM systems, Tappi & ISO standards knowledge, functional understanding of packaging machinery & equipment, and corrugated systems; experience with BHS OS (iCorr, CCC, MCC), Escada Temperature Control Systems, Corrugation and Conversion Equipment Knowledge a strong asset.
Skills: Proactive and self-motivated with a strong client focused mindset, problem-solving skills and innovative solution generation, excellent communicator with the ability to explain difficult technical concepts and a track record of meeting client needs, exceptional rigour and attention to detail.
