We are currently seeking a dedicated Technical Support Assistant to join a premier organization in the scientific equipment industry. This position is a critical part of the manufacturing & logistics team in Coquitlam, BC, focusing on the maintenance and accuracy of high-tech instrumentation. As a Technical Support Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is meticulously prepared and tested before it reaches the end user.
What you need to know:
-Temporary role, lasting up to 3 months
-Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm schedule
Pay rate: $25-$28/hour

Responsibilities
• Clean and prepare complex scientific service equipment for the essential calibration and QC process.
• Record detailed calibration and quality control data within the company's technical database.
• Upload specific calibration constants and software updates to serviced equipment to ensure precision.
• Assist the senior technical team with mechanical troubleshooting and equipment assembly tasks.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment within the manufacturing & logistics facility.
• Manage the physical intake and movement of equipment, involving lifting between 50 lbs and 80 lbs.
• Ensure all technical documentation is completed accurately to maintain high-quality service standards.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a technical support, assembly, or mechanical assistant role.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing 50 lbs to 80 lbs on a regular basic
• Basic understanding of electronic components; experience with circuit boards is an asset.
• Capability to commit to a 3-month temporary assignment in Coquitlam, BC.
• Strong computer skills for data entry and software/firmware uploads.
• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality in a manufacturing & logistics environment
• High school diploma required; post-secondary technical training is highly preferred
