Responsibilities
As the Trailer Technician, you’ll work independently to handle a variety of specialized technical tasks:
- Brake Systems: Diagnose and repair hydraulic and surge brake systems, including calipers, actuators, and master cylinders.
- Suspension & Axles: Perform repairs on leaf springs, torsion axles, and bushings, while managing axle alignment and camber issues.
- Electrical & Diagnostics: Troubleshoot wiring faults and repair trailer electrical systems using multimeters and diagnostic tools.
-General Maintenance: Service bearings, replace hubs, and perform structural repairs on frames, bunks, and rollers.
-Safety First: Conduct rigorous safety inspections to ensure full compliance with provincial regulations.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for a teammate who is safety-conscious and technically accurate.
- Experience: 3-5 years of trailer repair experience (marine experience is a major plus!).
-Technical Mastery: Strong hands-on expertise in hydraulic brakes, suspension systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
-Problem-Solving: The ability to independently diagnose performance and safety issues.
-Background: An Automotive or Heavy Equipment Technician background is considered an asset.
-Credentials: A valid driver’s license; forklift handling capability is preferred
