Responsibilities
• Provide prompt and professional customer service to drivers and client representatives.
• Resolve delivery, inventory, equipment, employee, and customer issues as they arise.
• Plan, sequence, and adjust daily routing activities to ensure optimal performance.
• Schedule repairs and preventive maintenance for transportation equipment.
• Prepare manifests and delivery trip logs; relay any routing changes for loading accuracy.
• Ensure emergency orders are dispatched and delivered within expected timeframes.
• Monitor Web TM to confirm all delivery stops are completed efficiently.
• Process all required paperwork, logs, and databases; flag discrepancies.
• Support Logistics Supervisor/Manager with quality control tasks, including payroll, timecards, billing, and incident reporting.
• Allocate drivers based on daily workload using dispatch systems.
• Identify and suggest opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in a transportation, logistics, or dispatch environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make quick decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficient in using transportation and routing systems/software.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance scheduling is an asset.
