Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipments, handling inquiries via phone, email, and internal systems.
• Process and book freight orders, ensuring accuracy in classification, dimensions, and weight.
• Generate and provide accurate shipping quotes, rate confirmations, and billing details to customers.
• Track and trace shipments, providing timely updates on delivery status, delays, and exceptions.
• Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently.
• Resolve customer concerns, disputes, and claims related to pricing, delivery, and service failures in a professional manner.
• Maintain and update customer records, shipment logs, and database information within the logistics management system.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal sales teams to optimize service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and transportation regulations pertinent to Manufacturing & Logistics.
Qualifications
• Proven experience (typically 2+ years) as a Customer Service Representative or Administrative Support role, ideally in general freight transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or Business Administration is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated understanding of freight dynamics and carrier operations.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and flexibility for temporary assignments with various clients.
• Proficiency in relevant logistics software and strong computer skills.
